Standard Outrigger The tube sits at a 90 degree angle and the ski tip flips up when the string is pulled when walking or pushing as needed. This is the traditional style. |
Standard or Competition Outrigger in the "Up" position.

Competition Outrigger The up position allows racers to launch out of a starting gate quicker. The ski tip flips down to the "race" position when the string is pulled. This prevents the tail of the ski from dragging giving you the competitive edge. |
